The live stream Better World Summit featured the second session of Huawei's online 5G+. The live streams were attended by telecommunications representatives and industry partners who shared their perspective on how 5G applications could enhance industry efficiency and security.

According to the chief marketing officer of Huawei Carrier BG Cai Mengbo in his opening speech, Huawei calls for unlocking the potential of 5G. He claimed that the strengthening of the innovative network would enhance the businesses and improve efficiency and security.

It was also discussed that 5G networks would bring higher value to port, agriculture, iron and steel, and the healthcare industries. Mengbo also said that there are already 80 5G networks commercially available worldwide. He further discussed how these market players could create more value in their interest within the industry.

At present, the 5G network for business is still a branding concept. Mengbo claimed more solid work is still required for it to generate its maximum capacities. It was suggested that building a positive business cycle requires attention within the aspects of technology, ecosystem, business model, and standards.

The Summit discussed the technology readiness of the 5G networks. There is a need for further innovations for 5G technology and products to remedy the challenges of industries. These involve the 5G Super Uplink solution that addresses the industries' needs for optimal and real-time uplinks.

The maturity of the ecosystem was also covered. The 5G industry modules have been widely commercialized. These include products such as the 5G industrial CPE, cameras, and industrial routers that are already available for purchase worldwide. It was then determined that there is a need for more commercial 5G devices for the different industries to ensure the prosperity of the 5G ecosystem and promote cost-saving strategies for the network.

The unified standards in terms of 5G services for business have improved from zero to one. This requires further innovations and growth before unified industry standards may be established. Finally, it was also discussed that industry players must continue exploring business models of the 5G services to maximize the beneficial features that support shared commercial success for them.

The Summit was attended by the market's most influential companies through their executives. The general manager of China Mobile Group Zhejiang Co. Ltd. Xu Mengqiang attended the event along with the head of the digital production federal department of Economic Affairs Education and Research Dr. Thomas Anken. The vice director of the Engineering Equipment Department of Hunan Valin Xiangtan Iron and Steel Co. Guo Lihong also attended.
