Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced in January that they will be stepping down as senior royals to focus on their family and charities. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also shared that they wish to be “financially independent” and live a more “peaceful life.”

After completing their final royal engagement, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle packed their bags and moved to the US with their son Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently residing in Los Angeles.

As mentioned above, one of the reasons for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s withdrawal is to live a more peaceful life. However, a new report revealed that the couple will “never get the privacy they crave” despite their royal exit.

“They can lead that lifestyle, but the protection team really has to bring their A-game and they have to mitigate all the risks that go with it,” ex-royal protection officer Simon Morgan said on US Weekly podcast Royalty Us.

Simon Morgan pointed out that even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already withdrawn from their roles, there will always be interest in them. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are two of the most popular members of the Royal Family, so people will always want to know about them and what they’re doing even though they have already turned their backs on royal life.

In fact, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son will still be a prince despite their effort to distance him from the royal bubble. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a love-hate relationship with the media for quite a long time, and they decided to completely avoid the spotlight to protect their son.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wished to raise Archie as a private citizen. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex registered their son as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor even though the little boy was entitled to take his father’s subsidiary title Earl of Dumbarton.

According to royal experts, Archie is still destined to be a duke and a prince despite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal exit. The one-year-old will inherit the Duke of Sussex's title after his father’s death. He will also be a prince when Queen Elizabeth dies.

It is worth noting that even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not senior royals anymore, they are still treasured members of the Royal Family. In fact, Prince Harry remains the sixth in the line of succession to the British throne.
