DeMarcus Cousins is said to be in serious consideration of some of the 22 teams invited to play in Orlando starting on July 30 and the free agent is certainly available, waived by the Los Angeles Lakers in February. However, the big man seemed not inclined to jump too soon and will likely sit out for the rest of the season.

The latest reports coming out about Boogie are somewhat confusing. Shams Charania of The Athletic said Cousins would prefer to continue his rehabilitation. The center tore his ACL before the start of the season, which prevented him from joining the Lakers in their actual games.

So he is likely to skip the Orlando games even if there are tempting offers but according to Tania Ganguli, who reports for The Los Angeles Times, the four-time All-Star is at best undecided, which suggested that Boogie seemed convinced he is ready to play but the rehab works remain a chief concern.

Bleacher Report said the best update on the NBA star came from Adrian Wojnarowski, who confirmed that offers have been made to Cousins but a decision will not be made in haste. The ESPN journalist said Cousins and his agent Jeff Schwartz are looking at the options available real hard, not wanting to make a serious mistake.

"It's got to be the right team, right situation or he just waits until a training camp next year with a new team," Wojnarowski was reported as saying.

The interest that Cousins has been attracting is not a surprise at all. It might be that the center has been hobbled by injuries in the past few seasons but teams are aware he is dependable when in full health status.

The report pointed to Boogie's last decent showing with the Warriors last season. The Dubs failed to keep the NBA crown against the Toronto Raptors but he was effective there. He only averaged more than 25 minutes per game but Cousins scored 16.3 points per game, and he made sure his presence was felt in all aspects of the game.

However, a return to the court fresh out of rehab appeared the last of the things to do for Cousins in the immediate term. Understandably, the man knows he is 29 and in the game of basketball, time will soon run out for him, diminishing at the same time his chance of wearing an NBA ring.

CBS Sports said Cousins is probably the best talent available in the open market right now and teams will be disappointed to know he is thinking of skipping the season restart. For them, a prized and high-performing center will be hands-off for some time.

The same goes for John Wall as CBS said the Wizards star has been wanting play alongside with former Kentucky teammate. It could be that he will have to wait until next season.
