Prince George has a grumpy side that apparently comes out when he's losing to his younger brother, Prince Louis. Their mother, Kate Middleton, revealed this anecdote when she visited a children's hospice over the weekend and also did a bit of planting with the families.

Kate said that they have a sunflower-growing competition at home to keep her children occupied during the coronavirus lockdown. She gave her kids sunflower seeds each to grow but Prince Louis is apparently leading the contest and it is making Prince George a little miffed.

The Duchess of Cambridge thinks that Prince Louis has a green thumb. It's not surprising because it runs in the family as his grandfathers, Prince Charles and Prince Philip, are also avid farmers.

During her visit to the hospice, Kate surprised the families because she didn't mind getting down and dirty to plant. She didn't even use the gardening gloves provided for her and tackled the dirt with her iconic engagement and wedding ring on her fingers.

Meanwhile, the sunflower is a symbol of hospice care. This week, the U.K. is celebrating Children's Hospice Week, where the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall have teamed up to talk to different care centers virtually.

Camilla said that at the start of her patronage to a hospice center, the Duchess of Cornwall didn't expect to see so many happy faces given the nature of a care facility. Kate, on the other hand, said that care workers at hospice centers are "awe-inspiring" and she thanked them for their service, especially in this pandemic.

Kate also didn't forget to acknowledge the families who are caring for kids with limiting and life-threatening illness. She said that they are doing the most extraordinary job despite the challenges and the struggles.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge continues to stay in Anmer Hall despite returning to some in-person royal engagements. She and Prince William, however, have yet to go to a working event together since they've gone back to face-to-face meetings.

Prince William recently went to Oxford University to visit the scientists working to develop a vaccine that might finally be the answer to coronavirus. The Duke of Cambridge thanked them for their groundbreaking work and said that if they succeed then the world will be able to "breathe a sigh of relief" knowing that there's finally an end to this dreaded viral disease.
