There is little doubt that MONSTA X is going full speed ahead although they have just completed the promotions for their recent comeback. After all, it has been confirmed that the boy group are currently working on another album as a follow-up to Fantasia X. But is Shownu actually thinking about his upcoming military enlistment? The leader of MONSTA X has just shared an update on his enlistment and it looks like it's actually the last thing on his mind right now.
It's no secret that fans have been concerned about Shown needing to enlist this year. Being born in 1992, Son Hyunwoo is already expected to start with his military enlistment this year. On the other hand, the MONSTA X leader clearly still has a lot of work to do although the boy group has just finished promoting their new album Fantasia X. So when exactly will Shownu enlist?
Not surprisingly, Shownu has been asked about his plans for military enlistment earlier this year. In May, when MONSTA X were preparing for their latest comeback, Son Hyunwoo was asked if he has any plans of joining the military. The main dancer confirmed that it is something that he intends to do in the future but Shownu also pointed out that "the specific timing is still undecided." He then revealed the reason why he has not yet enlisted.
Shownu stated that his current priority is MONSTA X and doing more work for their fans. According to Shownu, he and his fellow members have every intention to keep producing more music for Monbebes. In addition to that, Son Hyunwoo is hoping to return on stage and perform for their fans.
For now, it is safe to say that Shownu is hoping to be reunited with Monbebes before he needs to enlist. MONSTA X is, reportedly, working on a new album which is expected to be released later this year. This was confirmed by I.M., who also revealed that he is working on his solo album. With that in mind, fans can rest assured that the boy group will make 2020 a truly memorable year for Monbebes.
In addition to working on a new album, MONSTA X are currently the star of the new holiday show MONSTA X Is Now On Vacation where the members are shown simply enjoying some time off. The boy group is also expected to start a new variety show next month.
