The new MONSTA X show might be all about seeing the boy group relaxing and simply taking some time off from their busy schedule. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that they won't be moving around too much. For instance, Shownu told the staff he would take a short walk outside their rented cabin. However, it turned out to be an unannounced exercise run and Son Hyunwoo ended up leading the staff on a wild goose chase trying to find him.
The seventh episode of MONSTA X Is Now On Vacation started out with the members being fast asleep after enjoying a truly relaxed evening where they feasted on an expensive barbecue dinner and even had some drinks. However, Kihyun had to get up early to fulfill his promise to buy coffee for all of the staff who were with them. Yoo Kihyun called a coffee shop to make an advance order since he is getting 60 cups of coffee then quickly left to get his orders. In the meantime, the staff were left with having to wait for the rest of the boy group to wake up.
Interestingly, Shownu was the second one to wake up although he clearly had a lot to drink the night before. It might look like Son Hyunwoo might be hungover but he quickly got up to announce that he was taking a walk around their cabin. The staff told the MONSTA X leader that he should take a camera with him and although he agreed, he simply left with only his mic on. Amazingly, Shownu then sped off without any warning.
Not surprisingly, the staff were alarmed because Shownu ran off without letting them know where he was going. Some of the staff tried to chase after him but he was running so fast that they lost sight of him. The panicked staff members then sent a drone to find Son Hyunwoo and it took a long time for anyone to locate him.
Luckily, the staff who ran after Shownu were able to find him but it looked like the MONSTA X leader wanted to tease them. Just as it looked like he was jogging towards them, he made a U-turn and ran in the opposite direction, making the staff panic. However, Son Hyunwoo reunited with the staff and allowed them to follow him on his jog.
Soon, it became clear that the staff simply cannot keep up with Shownu's fast pace. The cameraman can be heard begging Son Hyunwoo to slow down and he simply said he would see him later before proceeding to run faster. Amusingly, Shownu took a camera with him this time and there is footage of the idol saying hello to some goats as he ran past the animals.
