Prince William and Kate Middleton have been ramping up their royal engagements during the coronavirus lockdown while Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles remain in isolation. Those who are over 70 are considered to be most at risk of catching severe COVID-19, so the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, being the future King and Queen consort, are taking over the obligations.

Now, the coronavirus lockdown restrictions are slowly easing, and the Royal Family members have started to complete their duties outside of their homes. Recently, Kate Middleton joined families from East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) and helped them plant a garden at The Nook.

While people were very happy to see Kate Middleton in her recent public engagement, Royally Obsessed podcast hosts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie were surprised that the Duchess of Sussex didn’t wear a mask. Also, they pointed out that Kat didn’t seem to adhere to social distancing rules as well.

"Where was the mask? The reason I bring it up for this event is because in some of the pictures, even though she's outside, she's not six feet from other people,” Rachel Bowie said.

Roberta Fiorito noted that Prince William observed the emergency protocol during his first official royal duty last month. The Duke of Cambridge visited the King’s Lynn Ambulance to talk to the ambulance staff. While observing the social distancing protocol, the future king praised the staff and even shared with them his favorite hobby during the coronavirus lockdown, which was baking.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton remained to be hands-on parents to their three young children while completing their royal duties at the same time. In fact, the couple is homeschooling their older kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children are currently staying at Anmer Hall in Norfolk during the lockdown. The family’s country mansion was a wedding present from Queen Elizabeth. They were told to enjoy their time at the place as they may not be able to do so in the future as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take more royal duties.

A royal poll revealed that the public believes that Prince William should step up for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. The poll asked if Prince William should take over since Her Majesty's age placed her as high-risk to catch severe COVID-19, and 87 percent of the voters answered yes. Only 249 (12%) out of 2010 voters said “no,” and 21 voters (1%) said, “don’t know.”
