Ubisoft will hold the Ubisoft Forward digital showcase on Jul 12, 2020. Rumors have it that the heavily speculated title "Far Cry 6" might be announced at the said event. Now, it appears like a familiar face from the entertainment world would play the role of the main villain in the upcoming game iteration.

Ubisoft has not yet confirmed the existence of "Far Cry 6." However, rumors about the game intensified since industry journalist and Bloomberg's Jason Schreier revealed some details about the said title. A few days earlier, fans were talking about the likelihood that Giancarlo Esposito would be in Ubisoft's heavily rumored title.

It all started when the "Breaking Bad" actor shared in his interview with Collider that he has been working on a huge video title. There is really nothing much in the interview aside from the usual, "I could not reveal the details yet" answer. Interestingly, GameReactor UK stated in a recently deleted article that the "Mandalorian" actor would star in "Far Cry 6."

The actor could pull off the role of a villain without breaking a sweat. One of the selling points of the "Far Cry" series is its list of antagonists. So far. All titles released by Ubisoft in the series have compelling antagonists. There is a high chance that Esposito could be in "Far Cry 6."

With Ubisoft Forward event happening in a few days, the likelihood of "Far Cry 6" launching at the digital showcase is high, according to Push Square. While Esposito does not say what role he is reprising in the video game, Wccftech says that he might play as the game's villain. Last year, the gaming studio confirmed that it's planning to release five triple-A titles before the fiscal year ends.

The current fiscal year ends on Mar 31, 2021. Ubisoft earlier mentioned that it would release "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," "Watch Dogs: Legion, "Gods & Monsters," and "Rainbow Six Quarantine." Many fans believe that the fifth game would be "Far Cry 6." An earlier leak revealed that "Far Cry 6" would drop the rural American setting of the current "Far Cry" title and would be set in a more interesting place.

It is worth mentioning that while the latest set of information about "Far Cry 6" is exciting, it is not yet official. Fans should look forward to Ubisoft Forward on Jul 12 to see if Ubisoft would indeed launch "Far Cry 6." Since these details are not official, it is wiser to take it with a pinch of salt.
