The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 line up will reportedly launch at the company's media event in August. Pre-orders for the upcoming smartphone series will reportedly start right after the said event. While the latest information about the Galaxy Note 20 series does not come with a specific release date, it does offer the models' prices.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Launch And Release Date

The fresh information about the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series comes from the reliable industry insider Ice Universe. Samsung will reportedly hold the Next Galaxy event on Aug 5 alongside a couple of Galaxy Fold handsets, which could be the Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Samsung will reportedly start accepting pre-orders following the media event.

Meanwhile, ETNews recently claimed that the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Plus would be available starting Aug 21. The release date falls on the last Friday of the month, which is interesting considering that Samsung released the Galaxy Note 10 last year in the same pattern. The current phablet generation of Samsung was launched on Aug 7, 2019, and was on pre-order for two weeks.

The release date shared by the Korean publication ETNews is the availability date of the Galaxy Note 20 in the South Korean market. However, GSM Arena predicted that it might also be the release date of the upcoming flagship handset in all key markets. It is worth noting that this release date only applies to the Galaxy Note 20 series and not to the two other foldable smartphones reportedly sharing the limelight on The Next Galaxy event.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series Prices

Apart from the launch and release date of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, it appears that the prices of the models are also leaked online. Ice Universe earlier predicted that the Galaxy Note 20 would retail at around $999. Meanwhile, the industry insider claimed that the higher tier model Galaxy Note 20 Ultra might sell at $1299. These prices are merely educated guesses based on the company's strategy on the Samsung Galaxy S20 line up.

The industry insider seemed not pleased with Samsung's pricing for its upcoming flagship series. Ice Universe said that a $999 smartphone with a 1080 60 Hz display and a regular camera configuration should be considered fraud. The industry insider is not alone on this, as several tech sites are reporting that the South Korean tech company might be facing a bigger problem.

Apple is anticipated to unveil its flagship iPhone series with the most affordable unit, only retailing at $649. According to earlier leaks, this particular model, while it does not feature a higher camera configuration, already packs 5G support. It is worth mentioning that while details about the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 are exciting, these are not official.
