Gigi Hadid kept her cool in addressing a claim that she was disguising her baby bump. The supermodel expressed how proud and happy she is of her pregnancy, contrary to claim that suggested otherwise.

Hadid took to Twitter to clarify her earlier response to a fan question that became a British Vogue story with the headline "Gigi Hadid Reveals How She Disguises Her Pregnancy." The magazine also tweeted out a link to its article and wrote in the caption Hadid's "genius disguise" of her yet-to-be-seen baby bump.

In her response, Zayn Malik's girlfriend clearly took offense to the word "disguise" and put emphasis on the word as she clarified she wasn't trying to hide her pregnancy. Hadid stressed that she is proud and happy that she is expecting her first baby with Malik.

The controversy started when Hadid replied to a question in the comments section of her Instagram Live a few weeks ago wherein a fan asked her how it is that she doesn't look pregnant. The 25-year-old model responded to the fan by saying her khaki baggy jumpsuit gave an optical illusion at some angle.

Gigi Hadid was first rumored pregnant with Zayn Malik's baby in early April. She later confirmed that she is expecting with the former One Direction member during an interview at The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

She said it is a nice silver lining to be pregnant during the COVID-19 lockdown with Malik as they share the experience together. Hadid has not yet publicly share any photo of her growing baby bump. So far, the couple has been keeping their pregnancy journey private.

They also haven't announced the due date of their baby. However, Gigi's mom, Yolanda Hadid, revealed that her daughter is expecting in September.

In May, Gigi Hadid was in the headlines once again when she candidly talked about her beauty routine, plastic surgery rumors, and the changes on her face during pregnancy. During an Instagram Live with Maybelline's global makeup artist Erin Parsons, Hadid denied that she had facial enhancements or fillers.

Gigi explained that she has nothing against those who opted to undergo cosmetic surgery or treatment. But personally, it terrifies her.

Parsons asked the model if she was already noticing changes on her face due to pregnancy and if it bothers her. Gigi said she is happy to embrace the natural process and chances that she might have in the remaining months of her pregnancy.
