The buzz is getting louder that Gigi Hadid is pregnant with her first baby with Zayn Malik. Though the couple has yet to make an official announcement about it, reports indicated that Hadid did give some clues about her condition during her recent 25th birthday celebration. Some believed that she might even have given a clue about the gender of their baby.
The supermodel celebrated her 25th birthday on April 23. In the photos that she and her mother, former Real Housewives star Yolanda Hadid, shared on Instagram, Gigi was seen wearing a black turtleneck top, black jacket, and baggy jeans.
The mother and daughter tandem was also seen holding number "2" and "5" balloons. One balloon is tied off with a blue string, while the other has a pink string.
Reports have it that Gigi is already 20 weeks pregnant and is due around early September. Entertainment Tonight cited sources stating that the couple has already shared the baby news with their close family members and friends and they are keeping it that way at the moment. The couple and their families are, reportedly, overjoyed by the news.
Aside from the pregnancy rumor, Gigi's birthday celebration also sparked speculations that the couple could also be teasing about the gender of their unborn baby because of the balloon strings. Some speculate that the couple could be having twins because of the two colors while others think, it will be a baby boy.
"The blue and pink strings. It was a gender reveal party as well?? Also I think that it's a boy since Gigi is holding the balloon with blue strings," one fan tweeted.
Meanwhile, many have also noticed that supermodel started wearing more loose-fitting clothing on and off the runway in February. Another hint that fans are turning into is Hadid's recent interview with i-D magazine around the same month. In the said interview, she shared her dream of becoming a mom.
"I think that as I get older... well one day I'll start a family and I don't know if I will always be modeling," the model said.
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have had an on-again and off-again relationship since they started dating in November 2015. They had their first break up in June 2016 but it only lasted for a few days.
The supermodel and the former One Direction member have gone their separate ways again in March 2018. Three months later, the "Pillowtalk" singer and Hadid confirmed they're back together. In early 2019, they were rumored to have split again.
Then Gigi got romantically linked with the former Bachelorette contestant Tyler Cameron. But then in late 2019, she reconnected with Zayn. The two officially confirmed that they are back together in a Valentine's Day post.
