There's been a surge in the use of digital devices since the start of the pandemic. This means that we're using more of our virtual spaces than the physical ones, which is kind of sad but a reality to many of us in these trying times.

That being said, have you thought about how much clutter you're making on your virtual space? You're spending a lot of time facing your digital devices, you might as well start cleaning it. Here's how to get started:

Get rid of unwanted programs and apps

You've probably noticed long ago tose free programs and apps your computer has, and you never use. Now would be a good time to delete them. They are a form of distraction, so if you want to finish your tasks, get rid of them -- and quick. Removing these apps will also speed up your device too. If ever you need them in the future, you can always download them anyway.

Clear out your downloads folder

Most people, if not at all, never declutter their downloads folder. If you want to get rid of clutter, now is the time to delete unneeded files that eat up your memory. It's likely you have duplicate files in there as we're prone to downloading stuff more than once.

Your download folder may have bulky files too, which could be the reason why your PC's a bit sluggish. Do your computer a favor and free up the memory.

Clean up your email

Remember those emails that don't really mean anything to you? Delete them. If you haven't already, start sorting your email inbox and only keep those you need, which leads us to the next point:

Unsubscribe to newsletters you no longer need

You've probably accumulated lots of newsletters over time from the everyday browsing. And while unsubscribing is not rocket science, many of us are too lazy to do it. This leads to digital clutter that fills your inbox with so much stuff you barely care about.

A clean inbox can only happen if you have the willpower to look for that unsubscribe button and click right away. It doesn't take long, that's a promise.

Empty the recycling bin

Have you ever looked into your digital crash? You know everything in there eats up space, right? Just like your downloads folder, deleting large files is the way to speed up your PC. If you haven't done it yet, do it right now.

After doing all these things, your virtual space has now been decluttered. Congrats!
