The highly anticipated price reveal of Microsoft's Xbox Series X might not happen during the Xbox Game Showcase. Earlier, the Redmond-based tech giant announced the details of the Xbox Series X event scheduled to happen this July. Game enthusiasts are excited since many expect that the company might finally reveal the price of the Xbox Series X, but it seems that this is not going to be the case.

Xbox Series X Price Reveal

After the successful PlayStation 5 digital event last month, Microsoft confirmed earlier that it would be having another Xbox Series X event in July. But, it appears that eager fans might be disappointed if the recent information about the Xbox Game Showcase is accurate. According to The Verge's Tom Warren, Microsoft would only focus on upcoming titles at the event happening on Jul 23.

On Twitter, Warren responded to a tweet made by Niko Partners' Analyst Daniel Ahmad inquiring if there would be pricing reveal at the event. Warren said that there would be no pricing information, only games. Xbox Series X is scheduled to arrive sometime in the holiday of 2020.

Although Microsoft's next-generation gaming console nears its release, the company has not yet revealed its price. Last year, the company beat Sony when it unveiled the Xbox Series X at The Game Awards. Interestingly, like its competitor, Microsoft is not yet willing to reveal the price of its gaming console. Xbox Game Showcase A few days ago, Microsoft announced that it would hold the Xbox Game Showcase. The event will begin at 8 AM PT with Geoff Keighley handling the pre-show, which will stream on YouTube and Twitch. At 9 AM PT, Microsoft will proceed with the main event, focusing on the titles releasing on the Xbox Series X.

Fans can expect to witness a showcase of gameplays from Microsoft's first-party studios. The Xbox Game Showcase is the second event of the company for the gaming console. The first event was for third-party titles, which showcased 12 games. Aside from games, several industry insiders speculated that Microsoft might unveil its second next-generation gaming console at the said event.

The industry was bombarded recently of leaks and rumors claiming that Microsoft has a more affordable but less powerful console releasing alongside Xbox Series X. Dubbed as Lockhart or Xbox Series S, fans think that this is Microsoft's response to Sony's PS5 Digital Edition console.
