Denise Welch discussed Prince Andrew's alleged upsetting behavior and controversial friendship with the criminal sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on Loose Women. The 62-year-old star recalled the "run-ins" she had with the Duke of York and how he made her "upset" with his comments.
The show's ladies talked about the allegations made against Prince Andrew and if it led to the "loss of respect for the Royal Family." From here, the television personality revealed her past encounters with the 60-year-old royal.
The actress openly admitted that she's not a fan of Sarah Ferguson's former husband. She said anyone who watches the show knows her distaste for the prince, Mirror Online noted.
She added that he's the Royal that she had a couple of run-ins with, but she's not just fond of him. She then went on to say that the duke told her things that had "really, really" upset her.
Welch found his words "very disrespectful." She even believed that Queen Elizabeth II's son should have never said these things to her.
The television personality then recalled when she was having her vodka and then saw Prince Andrew got up to leave. He then walked around to the top end of their table, put his hand on her then-husband's shoulder, and said, "rather you than me, sir."
Welch frankly told the father-of-two how he made her feel, saying she was "very, very crossed." Although she revealed she still had respect for the Royal Family as a whole, she couldn't say the same thing to Prince Andrew.
She acknowledged that people made mistakes as they were only human. However, the minute that he went to the Atlantic to be with the pedophile, Epstein, and gave an alleged "ridiculous excuse" for doing so; it was the end of Prince Andrew for her.
Welch then gave her sympathy to her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. She knew that to have their father in the middle of a big controversy is "awful."
Meanwhile, according to The Guardian, lawyers of Epstein's victims are demanding Prince Andrew to find courage, "speak up and to stop deliberately avoiding the US authorities" in light of Ghislaine Maxwell's arrest. The women's legal counsel claimed that the Prince is subjecting them to a "torture test" as he is keeping his silence over his friendship with the convicted sex offender.
The US prosecutors said they would "welcome" a statement from Prince Andrew regarding the criminal investigation into Epstein's "alleged co-conspirators." Although the royal earlier claimed that he was willing to cooperate, the investigators said he refused to have a scheduled interview.
