Kate Middleton is like a big sister to Prince Harry. In fact, the Duke of Sussex himself said in the past that he always wanted a sister, and he was happy that the Duchess of Cambridge became a part of the Royal Family.
That being said, Kate Middleton wants nothing but the best for Prince Harry and vice versa. Now, a new book claimed that the wife of Prince William warned the younger son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana about dating Meghan Markle.
It was previously alleged that Prince William voiced his concerns before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018 regarding how fast his brother and the former actress’s relationship was going. While the Duke of Cambridge only meant well when he advised Prince Harry to slow things down, the Duke of Sussex, reportedly, didn’t take it well as he saw it as criticism.
According to journalists Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett, it wasn’t just Prince William who urged Prince Harry to take things slowly. They claimed in their book “Royals at War: The Untold Story of Harry and Meghan’s Shocking Split with the House of Windsor,” that Kate Middleton also said the same thing to the Duke of Sussex, and asked him if Meghan was the “right one.”
The authors shared how Kate Middleton “gently reminded him that he was dating someone with a completely different life and past, career, and it would take time, care, and attention for them to integrate.” But just like what he felt with Prince William’s concerns, Prince Harry, allegedly, took offense on Kate’s advice as well.
Last month, Prince Harry announced that he will merge his Endeavour Fund charity, which was held under The Royal Foundation ran by Prince William and Kate Middleton, with his Invictus Games event.
The Endeavour Fund was first established by Prince Harry in 2012. At the time, he, Prince William, and Kate Middleton were patrons of The Royal Foundation. With the announcement of the merge, this means that the Duke of Sussex is now cutting further ties with his brother and sister-in-law.
As expected, fans who love the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry needed to blame someone for the fallout. A lot of royal fans believe that Meghan Markle should exert some effort into fitting in with the royal family and not the other way around.
Some thought that the reason why Meghan Markle is having a hard time building a relationship with the other members of the royal family is that the Duchess of Sussex didn’t have a relationship with her own family.
