Manchester United's latest win over Aston Villa, 3-0, brought the club to 16 consecutive victories, and according to Roy Keane, his old team is well-positioned to wrap up the season in the Top 4 of the Premier League. The prediction means the Red Devils will qualify for the Champions League next season.

Keane said momentum is on the side of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side as evidenced by the winning run that started in January. It helped too that the roster is back to top health status with key players like Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba out of the injury list.

The United legend said the signing of Bruno Fernandes proved a huge boost and with Pogba seemed more focused on his stay at Old Trafford, it's only fair to assume that further successes are on the horizon.

"They look favorites to catch Leicester and Chelsea. The momentum is there at the club ... Everyone at the club should be pleased. They've got the momentum back into the club, they just need to keep it up now," Goal reported Keane as saying.

He added that Solskjaer's game plan of focusing on the development of young players is paying off. The won games so far showed that the young Red Devils are scoring and enjoying at the same time.

What's happening is in keeping with the United tradition and Keane said the club has taken the right track that leads them back to playing in the Champions League.

The focus now is winning more games and United must focus on gaining ground one match at a time, and not be distracted by the league leaders. Liverpool and Manchester City could be beyond reach so the goal is to catch up with Leicester or Chelsea, Keane advised.

The United hero also acknowledged that Fernandes' arrival has been "a huge boost," for the squad. Since the Portuguese signed up in January, Solskjaer's side started winning and has yet to look back. The club boss is even saying that his squad could see the close of the season without tasting defeat.

That happening is not impossible at all. However, Keane warned that there has to be a clear leader on the pitch, a role that he observed is played by either Fernandes or Harry Maguire.

Pogba has to step up on that function, which is an expectation recently voiced out by Solskjaer. But Keane said the Frenchman seemed unwilling to lead the Red Devils on the pitch and more inclined for others to do the job.

"I don't think he necessarily wants to be the main guy. He probably wants to be the main guy on the social media side of things," Metro reported Keane as saying.

Keane added that he can see Pogba enjoying his renewed excitement for United at the moment. But the club legend can only hope that the Frenchman will soon realize his leadership during play is greatly appreciated.
