Speculations have been swirling that Katie Holmes could be looking to the possibility of remarrying. A tabloid added that the actress is considering walking down the aisle again so she could change the last name of her daughter, Suri Cruise.
New Idea published a story this week speculating that Holmes has been finding ways on how to change Suri's last name. The it brought up another speculation that the Dawson's Creek actress could be thinking about remarrying to make it happen.
The tabloid based its assumption on Holmes' latest post on Instagram. In her post, the Batman Begins actress was seen seated in the dock while wearing a white dress that seemed to be a wedding dress. The photo quickly gained attention online and it so far garnered over 75,000 likes on IG.
The tabloid seemed to suggest that Katie can no longer wait for Suri to turn 21 so she can change her name. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter is currently 14 years old.
New Idea alleged Holmes will take it upon herself to find ways to how to change Suri's last name. It claimed that Katie's solution is to remarry.
Gossip Cop, however, debunked all of the tabloid's claims upon checking with Holmes' rep. The outlet stressed Katie has no plan to marry now or at least soon.
It added that the idea that the actress would remarry just to change her daughter's last name was just too ridiculous. Gossip Cop noted that if this was Katie's plan all these years, she should have tied the knot with Jamie Foxx, whom she dated for nearly seven years.
The outlet also clarified that the photo of Holmes on her IG account wearing a white dress was a promotional photo for Tove Studio, a fashion brand the actress was modeling for. The company also shared the same photo of the actress on its official IG account.
At the moment, Holmes is not dating anymore, more so planning to get married. She has been linked to a couple of celebrities but those remained as rumors.
Gossip Cop noted that New Idea had made several fabricated stories about Katie Holmes over the past months. The latest of which was when it claimed Holmes enrolled in medical school to fulfill her dream to become a doctor. It is true that Katie wanted to be a physician when she was young but there was no truth to rumors that she plans to pursue it now.
