The box art of Xbox Series X has started to surface online and fans have had various reactions – most of them, however, are disappointed. Gaming enthusiasts have been talking about the Xbox Games Showcase happening on July 23, and on the possible announcement of the PS5 price and pre-order details. While some fans are talking about the crucial features and possible announcements, some fans are into decidedly more minuscule details:

Xbox Series X Games Box Art

A few days ago, Sony released the box art of the PS5 titles, which of course, became a major point of debate among fans. Both Microsoft and Sony's fans argued over which box art is better in terms of design. While both gaming giants have flaws in their respective designs, it looks like many are not impressed with what the Redmond-based tech giant has done with the box art for the Xbox Series X.

The box art of the PS5 is different from that of the PS4 and it reflects the new two-tone design of the next-generation gaming console. Interestingly, Xbox Series X's art box is a little bit familiar. According to Techradar, this could be due to the company's goal of making the Xbox One a standardized platform for gamers.

Gamerant pointed out that the company emphasized the Smart Delivery feature to prove that it is committed to the idea of bringing the player base forward as it launches the next-generation gaming console. The site claimed that if this is what the company has in mind, it makes sense that the box art of the Xbox Series X is somehow similar to the of the Xbox One.

What Fans Have To Say?

On the social microblogging site Twitter, several gamers and enthusiasts shared their criticisms and displeasure with the latest box art for the Xbox Series X. The majority of the criticisms centered on the gaming console's logo "optimized for Xbox Series X." The prominent placement, as well as the size of the logo, has quickly turned into a meme.

Some Twitter users noted that Microsoft has succeeded with marketing and branding. Because of this, the design looks very crowded and diminishes the artwork of the box. Others claimed that the box art for Xbox Series X is simply confusing, suggesting that the company should have placed it at the back so buyers could simply check it there for other details.
