After all, Lee Hoseok had to deal with several controversies that eventually led to his departure from MONSTA X and the possible destruction of his career. However, the 27-year-old idol has proven that he is ready to rise above any obstacles that come his way and that nothing can stop him from pursuing his dream. It has been confirmed that Wonho is currently preparing for his solo debut which could be dropped in late August.
Last year, Wonho went through several controversies as his trouble past was brought up and he was even accused of using cannabis. Unfortunately, Lee Hoseok chose to leave MONSTA X to prevent the boy group from being caught up in all the controversies. Luckily, Wonho was soon cleared of all the charges and has since been signed to Highline Entertainment, a subsidiary of his original management Starship Entertainment. It was also confirmed that Wonho would become a soloist with the new company.
It's no secret that HIghline Entertainment already has big plans for Wonho. After all, he already has his own verified Twitter and Instagram accounts and has been keeping in touch with his fans. In addition to that, Lee Hoseok recently announced his own fandom name WeNee although he has yet to debut as a soloist. With that in mind, WeNees were sure that Wonho's debut will be happening soon.
Luckily, there is finally a positive update from Highline Entertainment. A representative from the company has confirmed that, "Wonho is preparing for the release of the album." In addition to that, they expressed their hope that fans will support the idol on his debut. Although the release date has not yet been revealed, it is believed that Wonho's debut album will be dropped in late August.
The news is certainly a great relief for WeNees who have been hoping to get some update on Wonho, who has been keeping quiet on social media for the past week. Needless to say, fans are happy to know that Lee Hoseok is probably holed up in the studio working on new music for his solo album. Loyal fans who have known Wonho since his time with MONSTA X are well aware that he is a talented songwriter and producer so there is little doubt that he will be very hands-on with the project.
