Prince Andrew appeared to be left out of the wedding photos officially and publicly released for Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edoardo Mappelli Mozzi. This was, apparently, the Duke of York's request because he didn't want to overshadow his daughter's big event.

According to The Times, Prince Andrew was present at the wedding on July 17 to celebrate the union of the happy couple and to walk Princess Beatrice down the aisle. Since this day was the couple's to behold, the Duke of York, reportedly, made sure that he won't be included in the photo releases because he will be criticized by the public no matter what.

The source who spoke to The Times said that he didn't want any distraction for Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edo. The source went on to say that Prince Andrew may be called and accused of many things but no one could question the love he has for his daughters.

The day after the wedding, Prince Andrew was seen driving out of his home in Windsor with a protection officer beside him. Princess Beatrice, Edo and some of their friends reportedly stayed over at the Royal Lodge estate, where a small wedding reception for 14 guests took place on that special night.

Since November 2019, the Duke of York has been laying low from the public after he stepped back from his royal duties. He was forced out as the TV interview to clear his name, over his friendship with the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, received much backlash from the public.

Friends said that he wanted to do the TV interview to put the scandal behind him so he could "hold his head high" when he walks Princess Beatrice on her wedding day. But the trainwreck sit-down on BBC also impacted his daughter's wedding plans, as Princess Beatrice had to cancel her engagement party and push back her wedding date a few times.

In recent weeks, Prince Andrew's legal team has been exchanging barbs with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). These agencies have been hoping to question Queen Elizabeth's son over what he knows about Epstein's illegal activities.

His lawyers, however, want to ensure that he will not be treated as suspect for the trial. It comes as Epstein's former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is close to Prince Andrew, was arrested and arraigned in New York for allegedly conspiring with Epstein in victimizing young women.
