Only a number of guests attended Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor. Her cousins, Prince William and Prince Harry, and their respective wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, didn't make it to the event.

Given that the Sussexes are in Los Angeles, and there are still coronavirus restrictions when it comes to traveling, why do the Cambridges weren't there? Here's why the Royal Fab Four wasn't at the wedding

According to Mirror Online, only immediate family members of the bride and groom were at the event. Only 30 persons can attend wedding ceremonies in the UK. However, the couple only invited less than 20 people, excluding extended family members.

As the coronavirus threat is still looming, social distancing rules and other gathering restrictions are still imposed. Hence, they have to scale back the celebration due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the guests, of course, were Princess Beatrice's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Her grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were also there.

A source told Town & Country that the royal wedding was an "intimate" one. For the most part, it was only for the Princess of York and Mozzi's "immediate family." It had been planned for "some time" and scheduled to make sure Queen Elizabeth would be there.

Compared to the previous royal weddings, Buckingham Palace didn't announce the celebration. It was held in secret. Also, official wedding photos weren't "immediately released."

In an official statement, the Palace said that the two decided to have a "small private ceremony," witnessed by their parents and siblings. They also assured that they followed the Government guidelines.

Meanwhile, despite their absence, Prince Harry and Meghan made sure that their good wishes would reach Princess Beatrice and Mozzi. A source told Hello! they already greeted the newlyweds in private.

Prince William and Kate also sent their greetings on social media. On their Kensington Royal Twitter account, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge re-tweeted an official wedding photo of the two shared by The Royal Family's page. They congratulated Princess Beatrice and Mozzi and used the hashtags, Just Married and Royal Wedding.

The low-key ceremony, reportedly, had a secret garden theme. They also maintained a two-meter distance from Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, as seen in the official snaps. Princess Beatrice donned a hand-me-down dress and tiara from Her Majesty herself, and Mozzi looked so in love.
