Prince Andrew, reportedly, had a significant part in Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The father of the bride was able to walk his daughter down the aisle and, also, apparently, gave a speech to honor the newly-married couple.

According to People, Prince Andrew spoke during the wedding reception of Princess Beatrice and Edo's wedding. Edo also stood up to toast his father-in-law and the wedding guests, while his stepbrother, Alby Shale, also talked about the couple during the small-scale celebration.

It was a party to remember despite the changes to the original wedding plans. Prince Andrew apparently hosted his daughter's wedding guests at an outdoor party for 30 people at the Royal Lodge grounds after the ceremony in Windsor

The low-key royal wedding didn't include Prince Andrew in the official photos released to the public, leading to speculations that the Duke of York was not around. However, omitting Princess Beatrice's father from the photos was, reportedly, a deliberate move.

Royal expert Camilla Tominey explained that a "collective decision" was made not to include the parents of the royal bride in the photo releases. Princess Beatrice was, apparently, aware that her father's photo would stir so much controversy because of his current scandal.

Prince Andrew has been linked to the scandal involving the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his alleged pimp, Ghislaine Maxwell. The latter was recently arrested by U.S. authorities and is currently held in prison without bond in a New York facility.

A friend of Princess Beatrice said that because of what's happening with her father, having this low-key and scaled-down wedding was so much better in many ways. It's actually the kind of wedding fit for Princess Beatrice's personality, who has always been shy and reclusive about the media attention given to the royals.

Meanwhile, reports have emerged that Prince Andrew's team was actually happy with his damaging BBC interview the moment it aired. Prince Andrew tried to clarify his links to Epstein by granting presenter Emily Maitlis an exclusive sit-down.

Maitlis said that Buckingham Palace was quite pleased after the BBC feature went out. But, the next day, they learned of the public's reaction, leading Prince Andrew to step down from his royal role indefinitely.

The presenter said that she didn't see the effects of the interview with Prince Andrew after reviewing the footage. She was aware that it was going to be an "explosive" topic but she only realized the gravity of it after the actual talk.

Prince Andrew's interview has earned Maitlis and the BBC recognitions and nominations. The backlash, however, has nearly crippled the Duke of York after many organizations that worked with him cut their ties.
