Kate Middleton has a strong "emotional bond" with her eldest son, Prince George, and this is apparently evident in the latest photos she took of the boy for his 7th birthday.

Body language expert Judi James said that Prince George's smile and eyes were "clearly aimed" at Kate Middleton behind the camera. The expert also said that Prince George's poses looked completely natural, suggesting that mother and son have a special connection.

The Duchess of Cambridge released Prince George's latest photos on Tuesday, the eve of his 7th birthday. Royal fans could not help but remark about how quickly he is growing, and they also marveled at how wonderful Kate captured her son's toothy grin and tousled blond hair. They said that he looks very much like a regular boy, except he will one day become the King of England.

The body language expert also said that one of Prince George's photos suggested that Kate and Prince William are gently easing their eldest son into his future life of duty. The young royal is seen standing upright with his arms to the side, which James read as an acknowledgement of his destiny as the third in line to the throne.

It has become a tradition for Kate Middleton to take portraits of her children to mark their birthdays. In April and May, when Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte celebrated their birthdays while in lockdown, the Duchess of Cambridge also had sets of new portraits of her kids for the public.

Meanwhile, an insider told Us Weekly that Prince George is turning out to be his siblings' protector. Though Princess Charlotte seems to be most self-assured among the three Cambridge children, Prince George is reportedly growing more confident, thoughtful and kind-natured.

But there's also a side to Prince George that indicates a high achiever. He's a competitive little child and the source believes this will "come in handy" when the right time comes.

Prince George, however, will not be king for a very long time. For now, he's is enjoying his childhood and playtime activities with his brother and sister.

It is understood that Prince George enjoyed his 7th birthday with his immediate family and grandparents, Michael and Carole Middleton. The Cambridges continue to isolate in Anmer Hall, Norfolk, where they have been staying since March.

The source said that Prince William and Kate Middleton planned a camping and BBQ party in their backyard. They also gifted their son with a new bicycle while Kate baked a special cake with "sprinkles, lollipops and colorful candy."
