A couple of new details about the rumored 10th generation iMac are now available online. One of the claims reveals that the much-awaited iteration could launch as soon as this week. The other rumor tips that some fans could be disappointed because it might not get a new design.

10th Generation Intel iMac Release Window

The first rumor about the 10th generation iMac comes from Twitter user Soybeys and reported by 9to5Mac. According to the tipster, Apple could announce the new Intel-powered iMac this week. It can be recalled that previous rumors hinted at the arrival of a new iMac at WWDC 2020.

The annual Apple event happened, but the Cupertino tech giant did not announce any new hardware at the developers' conference. Another tipster Lovetodream shared earlier that new Apple products are ready to ship. Lovetodream has an impressive record of accurately reporting details about Apple and its upcoming products.

The account accurately predicted details about Apple's macOS Big Sur, the new iPad Pro, and the new iPhone SE, to name a few. According to 9to5Mac, there are lots of precedents for the Cupertino company to announce new Macs through a press release this month. It cites that Apple released a couple of new MacBook models in July last year.

10th Generation Intel iMac Design

The other rumor about the upcoming Intel iMac suggests that Apple would not launch the Intel iMac with a new design, hinting that the company is saving the new design for the iMac with Apple Silicon. Based on the new rumor, it appears that the upcoming refreshes would simply feature faster 10th generation Intel chips, T2 security chip, storage updates, and faster memory.

This new rumor about the iMac might disappoint expectant fans. Several consumers have long been waiting for a redesigned iMac and hoping that this year Apple could debut such. Other leaks related to the iMac with Intel chip revealed that it could feature a 95W 10-core Core i9-10910 processor. It reportedly houses a 3.60 GHz base frequency and an AMD Radeon Pro 5300 graphics.

While the latest rumors about the iMac with Intel chips are interesting, these are not yet official. Digitimes earlier reported that Apple's new iMac and iPad are coming in the second half of this year. It means that if any of these rumors are accurate, the industry could see these new products in just a matter of days. But, it is wiser to take these rumors with a pinch of salt.
