Jadon Sancho could soon make his way to Old Trafford, that is if Borussia Dortmund will accept the latest offer from Manchester United. Reportedly, the Red Devils are willing to transmit the £108 million demanded by the Bundesliga side for Sancho's release but the payment will come in installment.

Reports from German media indicated that United will agree to the Sancho price tag but the English club can only send the money in tranches with the initial pay amounting to £63 million. Then the balance will be settled in the next few years.

The plan proposed by the buyer will see Dortmund receiving £27 million for the second round of payment and another £18 million for the final fee. Metro reported that Dortmund seemed willing to get the deal done the soonest because the club will be getting the total value placed on the 20-year-old winger.

It is understood that United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to complete the deal some weeks ahead of the campaign for next season. The Premier League is set to star in mid-September so the Norwegian would want a deal on Sancho finalized this August.

For their part, the German giants appeared already preparing for Sancho's eventual departure and have been on the hunt for a suitable replacement.

Believed high on the radar of BVB is Lyon winger Memphis Depay, who starred for United in 2015 but exited after struggling to shine under Louis van Gaal. The Dutch, however, found his form in France football and is said to be in serious consideration by Dortmund as a summer signing.

The Sun reported that Dortmund acquiring the former United man will further convince the Germans to allow Sancho to join up with the Red Devils. The clincher, however, is if the two sides can agree on the terms of payment for the transfer deal.

Meanwhile, former United legend Ryan Giggs has lauded the efforts by Solskjaer to bring Sancho to the English side. Giggs is convinced the talented young winger is a perfect fit for his old club, which secured a spot in the Champions League next season by finishing No. 3 in the Premier League.

The Red Devils will surely benefit from Sancho's skills and intelligence, according to the United hero.

"He's someone who can counter-attack if we're going to play that but also if a team are going to sit back, he can beat players and make things happen," Giggs was reported as saying.

Solskjaer has indicated that Sancho is a priority signing for his side and the chance of bringing the player to England appeared to have increased with United getting to compete with Europe's best next season.
