SEAL Team season 4 hasn't started production yet. However, it looks like the entire cast and crew are preparing for what's needed to be done before they resume working. In fact, lead star David Boreanaz has been frequently giving fans updates about what's happening behind the scenes.

In one of his recent Instagram stories, Boreanaz revealed that location scouting is underway for SEAL Team season 4, possibly the one that he's directing. It can be noted that the actor is working as a director in one of the episodes of season 3 before the production was halted.

Location scouting is one of the signs that the series is nearing its production. However, considering the current global health crisis, some things might still be changed. There are a lot of health measures and guidelines that should be followed, which could further slow down the production.

But, Boreanaz is eager to start filming SEAL Team season 4. During an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the actor revealed they are eyeing for an August start date. Yet, they also have to consider the health state of Los Angeles County, where the series films.

The major problem for the series is that it requires a lot of people to be in the same place at the same time. Since maintaining a proper social distance is one of the most important things to do now, we could see more scenes with a fewer crowd.

Even though the production faces a lot of uncertainties, the good news is that writers' room has been opened and they're already setting up more stories in advance. There is no official release date for SEAL Team season 4 at the moment. However, it could premiere in either late 2020 or early 2021 on CBS.

It remains to be seen whether the story itself would change due to the current global health crisis. But, the new season could deliver different stories, given military teams don't usually suspend operations despite the situation. It could likely feature the difficulties they going through beyond the norm.

In addition, the remaining episodes left in the third season might be incorporated in the latest installment. More stories are coming for Jason (Boreanaz) and Mandy (Jessica Pare), especially after what was shown at the end of season 3.

A potential romance between the two has been hinted after Jason kissed Mandy. Boreanaz, also, told TVLine that viewers will be surprised what the future holds for the two as their relationship further develops in SEAL Team season 4.
