Cameron Diaz has no regret turning her back on Hollywood. The actress opened up about the things she has accomplished since she retired from showbiz. 

Diaz had a chat with Gwyneth Paltrow for the latter's In Goop Health: The Sessions series. The two talked about relationships, life in and out of the spotlight, and life in quarantine. 

Paltrow asked the multi-awarded actress why she decided to quit acting. Diaz said, when she reached 40, she realized she wanted different things in her life. When asked about how it feels being away from the spotlight, Cameron confessed it's like peace.

The 47-year-old mother of one explained that she worked hard for 20 years and, throughout those years, she did not have any space for her personal life. When she finally decided to quit even when she was still on the height of her career, Cameron said she found peace in her soul and time to take care of herself. 

Diaz explained that, as an actor, everything was taken care of for her. She never had control of her life but she was able to take back the responsibility of running her life after retiring. The Charlie's Angel actress is, currently, busy being a mom, taking care of her husband Benji Madden, and managing her wine business. 

Fans of Diaz, however, may not lose hope to see the actress once again on the big screen. In her recent appearance on the Makeup and Friends YouTube series of make-up artist Gucci Westman, Cameron admitted that she is not closing her door if an acting opportunity comes her way in the future. Diaz said she is not the kind of person who would say a definite "never" on everything.

Cameron Diaz left a mark in every character she played in many hit movies. Among her iconic films are The Mask, My Best Friend's Wedding, There's Something About Mary, Charlie's Angels, Vanilla Sky, and of course, as Princess Fiona in the Shrek series. 

Her last movie was the adaptation of Annie in 2014. Diaz has, also, written two health books: the New York Times bestseller The Body Book in 2013 and The Longevity Book in 2016. 

Cameron Diaz and Benjie Madden got married in 2015. They welcomed their first child, Raddix Madden, earlier this year. A few months ago, Cameron, also, launched her organic wine brand, called Avaline.
