It's no secret that Wonho is already preparing for his solo career after his sudden departure from MONSTA X late last year. However, Lee Hoseok's return as a soloist is finally happening next month. The first teaser for Wonho's solo effort has just been revealed and it confirmed that his comeback is set for September. The mini-album Love Synonym will also feature the track titled 'Right For Me'.
The first official teaser for Wonho's first mini-album was shared on his official social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram. The image is mostly in blue but features Lee Hoseok's silhouette. Interestingly, Love Synonym is described as "Wonho 1st Mini Album Part 1" which instantly led to speculations that the former MONSTA X member will be releasing his albums as part of a trilogy. On the other hand, there is also a possibility that all of Wonho's upcoming albums will be labelled as such since his solo career is viewed as a new chapter of his life.
Not much is known about Love Synonym just yet other than the title of the first track which is 'Right For Me'. However, WeNees are already hoping to get more updates within the following weeks about the highly anticipated return of Wonho.
Wonho started out as a member of the boy group Nu Boyz with Shownu, #GUN, and Joohoney before taking part in Starship Entertainment's survival show No Mercy. From there, he became one of the final trainees chosen to debut as MONSTA X. Although Lee Hoseok was one of the main songwriters and composers in the idol group, he ultimately chose to leave in October 2019 following a series of controversies he was allegedly involved in. After Wonho was cleared of all his charges, he was signed by the Starship subsidiary label Highline Entertainment as a solo artist.
Interestingly, Wonho and MONSTA X can't seem to keep apart although the former has already left the group. The first teaser for Love Synonym was dropped just a few hours after Lee Hoseok's former group performed in their own online concert MONSTA X Live From Seoul With Luv on Live X Live. Needless to say, it was an exciting day for Monbebes and WeNees which is still agreed to be a joint fandom.
'Love Synonym' is Wonho's first solo mini-album with the first single 'Right For Me'. The album will be released on September 4, 2020.
