There is a rumor Brad Pitt has broken his sobriety. The 56-year-old star had spent about 18 months with Alcoholics Anonymous. Is there any truth to the claim?

A tabloid declared Pitt "fell off the wagon" after a drinking spree at a party for his latest movie "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." He was already two years sober at the time but the publication claimed he had someone bring him drinks.

A source said the actor started drinking "mocktails" but became more "animated" as the party continued. Eventually, he turned to alcohol.

The source said people close to Jennifer Aniston's former husband were worried he could have returned to his "old destructive ways." The source said temptation was present at parties. There was a lot of socializing and drinking - a "slippery slope" that could bring Pitt down.

Gossip Cop debunked the claim, insisting it was a false story. The publication and Pitt's friends said Pitt isn't drinking.

The Fight Club star has been open about his struggles with alcohol. In a speech accepting the Best Supporting Actor award at the National Board of Reviews' Annual Gala he thanked Bradley Cooper for helping him stay sober. In an interview with The New York Times last year he said he spent 18 months attending Alcoholics Anonymous after his split from Angelina Jolie.

He admitted he took things "as far as he could take it" so he removed his "drinking privileges." He also  told Interview magazine that he caught up with Anthony Hopkins and they discussed their struggles with alcohol. Hopkins opened up about his own experiences.
