The overall package of the Google Pixel 4a outclasses the 2020 iPhone SE offering of Apple, according to a new report. Apple's entry-level iPhone was hotly received by the industry when it was released a few months ago. Interestingly, the latest mid-range smartphone from the search engine giant exceeded expectations and even undercuts Apple's budget iPhone by $50.

Search engine giant Google managed to prioritize what most consumers value in a smartphone-display, camera and storage. All these major features are in the new Google Pixel 4a, which is beating other mid-range smartphones available in the market today. While the 2020 iPhone SE is a surprise offering from a company that offers the iPhone at a premium price, it failed in one aspect-using technology from eons ago.
The 128 GB iPhone SE retails at $449 and offers an interesting array of specs and features. It sports an LCD panel similar to that found in iPhone 8, which has no deep blacks or HDR. The 2020 iPhone SE comes with an amazing camera perfect for taking videos, but it does not come with Night Mode.
In terms of battery, the 2020 iPhone SE offers an average battery capacity and a slow 5W charger. It does not have a 3.5mm audio jack and has no 18W charger. While the 2020 iPhone SE offers WiFi 6, IP67 rating, and wireless charging, these features are standard in a smartphone at this price range.
Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 4a retails at $349 and sports an AMOLED display. The mid-range smartphone supports HDR10 and Netflix HD streaming. It packs a 128 GB internal storage and offers a great battery life.

Unlike the 2020 iPhone SE, the Pixel 4a offers one of the best in-class camera for still photos. The mid-range smartphone also comes with Night Sight. Apart from the 18W USB-C power adaptor, the Pixel 4a has the 3.5mm audio jack missing in the 2020 iPhone SE.

More importantly, the Pixel 4a comes with 6 GB of Ram while the 2020 iPhone SE only houses a 3 GB of RAM. According to Wccftech, the 3 GB RAM could become a constraint after several iOS software updates. Although Apple offers longevity because of software updates, the site pointed out that these updates could not improve the hardware that consumers purchase. Overall, Google made the Pixel 4a a better mid-range smartphone available today. Also, it is more attractive to many consumers since it is $50 cheaper than the 2020 iPhone SE.
