A new set of Microsoft Surface Duo leaks recently surfaced online, revealing important details about the device. Rumors have it that the Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft is planning to announce the release date and price of the upcoming device with a radical design. However, it looks like some industry insiders have already gotten information about the Surface Duo and are now sharing the details ahead of the official announcement.

Microsoft Surface Duo Price

Over the past weeks, images showing the Surface Duo have been popping up on the internet. Despite these ebbs of leaks and rumors, it is only now that the industry heard about the possible price of the upcoming device. Thanks to SamsungBloat, who previously leaked several images of the Surface Duo, fans now have the idea of how much the device would cost.

On Twitter, the industry insider shared several images of the Surface Duo. He also said that the starting price of the upcoming device would be $1400. The insider also mentioned that the device is arriving very very soon.

Surface Duo Design, Accessories Details

Microsoft announced the Surface Duo in October 2019, which marked the return of the tech giant in the smartphone industry. While the Redmond tech giant has not yet confirmed the accessories included in the package of the Surface Duo, leaked images suggest that it would come with a specially designed bumper case. Aside from this, the upcoming device with dual display would ship with a power adapter and a USB-C to USB-C cable.

The Surface Duo ships with a tweaked pre-installed Android 10 version instead of the traditional Windows 10, according to rumors. Straight from release, the dual-display device would come pre-installed with apps like Play Store, YouTube, Spotify, Edge browser, LinkedIn and Microsoft Teams.

Both 5.56-inch displays of the Surface Duo are functional and could be transformed into a massive 8.3-inch device when combined. The upcoming device houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset found in other smartphones, such as the Galaxy Note 10, OnePlus 7 Pro, and Google Pixel 4. The Surface Duo reportedly supports 4G LTE connectivity.

Additionally, the upcoming dual-display device from Microsoft sports a 6 GB RAM and internal storage of 64 GB. Rumors have it that 128 GB and 256 GB internal memory would also be available. Microsoft is anticipated to announce the release date of the Surface Duo this month. A recent tip from another industry insider revealed that the company had invited its MVPs for a virtual briefing on August 12. The said briefing is reportedly related to the Surface Duo.
