Suga is a member of the biggest boy band on the planet right now. The BTS rapper is, also, very popular and successful as a producer and a solo artist.

But, just like most idols, Suga also had a tough journey to debuting. When he was a trainee, the “Daechwita” rapper struggled financially. Suga had to work part-time jobs to pay for his tuition, food, and bus rides. There were even times that the BTS star had to choose between food or a bus ticket because his money can only afford one of the choices.

Suga was, also, selling his songs for extra earnings, but he often got scammed. As if that’s not enough, the BTS rapper had an accident while working as a delivery man. The incident damaged his shoulder and he was told by the doctor to not do any activities to strain it.

It seems like Suga just couldn’t catch a break at the time. So, he decided that giving up his trainee life was the best option for him. However, Bang Si Hyuk stopped Suga from quitting and told him that he was willing to wait for his injured shoulder to heal. He, also, offered to pay for Suga’s tuition fees so money wouldn’t be a burden for him anymore.

Also, because of Bang Si Hyuk’s kind gesture, Suga stayed at Big Hit Entertainment. Even though his main goal at the time is to be a producer, Bang Si Hyuk urged him to become an idol, and he eventually became a member of BTS.

Now, Suga doesn’t have to worry about money as BTS’s net worth is estimated to be over $60 million. But ,RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook’s journey to success was not a free ride at all. The boys achieved their current superstardom status due to their hard work and perseverance.

Suga rapped in their 2013 song “No More Dream” that he wanted to have “big house, big cars, and big rings.” The BTS rapper could easily afford those things today.

However, Suga, also, realized that fame and fortune don’t define happiness. The 27-year-old rapper, songwriter, and record producer may have finally achieved what he was trying to achieve in “No More Dream" but it appears that he also has to face the consequences.

Suga discovered that success comes with a price, and he seemed to not be ready for it. "No one told me how lonely it is up here," he rapped in "Interlude: Shadow."
