A new set of leaks reveals the specs of the upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080. More leaks about the next-generation GeForce graphics cards are surfacing online because the launch of the said series is fast approaching. Nvidia's Ampere-based GPUs would reportedly debut on September 1.

Latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 3090 Leaks

A fresh set of leaks bares more details on the specs of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. A new entry in the Userbenchmark database, picked up by VideoCards uncovered that the RTX 3080 would feature a 2.1 GHz maximum clock speed. The said graphics card would reportedly ship with a 10 GB video memory at 19 Gbps.

Based on the leaked database entry, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 would feature a 2,100 MHz clock limit and a memory clock of 4,750 MHz. Earlier rumors claimed that the GeForce RTX 3080 would use the Ampere GA102 GPU. This ships with 4353 CUDA cores, the same amount found inside the RTX 2080 Ti.

The GeForce RTX 3080 would reportedly feature 10GB of next-gen GDDR6X memory from Micron, as confirmed in the latest leak. This means it clocks at a massive 19 Gbps on a 320-bit and up to 760 GB/sec of memory bandwidth. This performance is 53% higher than the memory bandwidth of the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER.

Other Details

According to tech enthusiasts, this would mean the graphics card can provide 1 TB/s bandwidth because of its 384-bit memory interface. With these impressive specs and performance, it is safe to assume that the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 might not come cheap. AMD Big Navi earlier claimed that it would introduce an Nvidia graphics cards-killer. With Nvidia's threat, AMD Big Navi must outperform its rival's graphics cards and must also retail at a much lower price.

Meanwhile, Micron, the company responsible for developing memory in the industry, recently shared some details about the GeForce RTX 3090. The company is the supplier of the memory modules of the GeForce RTX 3090 and revealed that it would feature a 24GB GDDR6X memory at 21Gbps. It is worth mentioning that the leaked specs and performance of the GeForce RTX 3080 are not official. It is smarter to take this information with a pinch of salt.
