While the game developer did not reveal a lot of details about the much-awaited title, it confirmed that it would be based on 'actual events.' Interestingly, a reliable "Call of Duty" leaker may have revealed the beta and release date of the forthcoming title.

The latest hint about the beta and the release date of "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" came in the form of tweets from reliable industry insider ModernWarzone. One of the tweets shows September with a cup of tea being filled. The other tweet shows November with several numbers, which could be the days in that month.

Out of all these dates, the number 14 is encircled. Many fans believed that the September in the tweet could be the month for the arrival of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" beta. Meanwhile, fans believed that the November 14 date could be the release date of the action title. Apart from these, other players discovered clues in "Call of Duty: warzone," which hinted the possibility of the return of some "COD: Modern Warfare" characters in the upcoming "COD 2020" game.

In addition to these, another teaser led many fans to speculate that the might in "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" could get an upgrade. The teaser comes with what seems to be a map at the back wall, which some believed to be a part of the Verdansk map and not a totally new map.

Earlier today, Activision confirmed, "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" in a teaser video shared on its YouTube channel. While the teaser left fans with a lot of questions, it does promise that actual events would inspire it. The game features a real speech by a genuine KGB defector to illustrate its point further.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" would be formally launched on August 26. The game comes with a tagline, "Know your history or be doomed to repeat it." Many fans are intrigued because the teaser's YouTube description mentions Verdansk, which, as we all know id the primary map of "Call Of Duty: Warzone" and was also featured in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare."
