The Yellowstone season 3 finale is coming this weekend on Paramount Network. This is a significant episode as it continues the intense battle between John Dutton and Roarke Morris. There are also big concern for the Duttons, as it seems their ranch is going to be at stake.
The fight between John (Kevin Costner) and Roarke (Josh Holloway) has been brewing for some time, but it may finally come to an end in the Yellowstone season 3 finale. John is the biggest concern here, since he could lose everything that he loves, considering he's up against a huge corporation.
Even though he owns an enormous ranch, he has recognized that Roarke is a powerful man and has a clear plan on what he wants to do with the land. In a recent interview with TVLine, Holloway himself teased that there's going to be a big showdown between his character and John.
Holloway revealed there's one moment where John leans in real close to warn Roarke what's going to happen. He says Roarke may have flinched, but would never back down. He is not afraid to cross legal lines and hire guns to get whatever he wants.
Holloway said John is "just a small fish" to Roarke, and someone who's not hard to deal with. He is not intimidated by the rancher at all and he'll do everything he can to get the land and make his plan happen. And based on what the actor said, John's life might be in danger because of Roarke.
It remains to be seen whether this storyline will wrap up in the Yellowstone season 3 finale or continue in the next installment. The good thing is that the series has already been renewed for season 4, so there's no need to worry about its future.
Meanwhile, the show continues to deliver impressive ratings as of late. According to CarterMatt, the most recent episode generated about 4 million live viewers, making in the most-watched episode since the series premiered in June.
Yellowstone has been consistent in the ratings this season, increasing its live viewership almost 60 percent over season 2. Paramount Network has high hopes for the series, that's why they already renewed season 4 even before the premiere of the third installment.
Yellowstone season 3 finale airs on Sunday on Paramount Network.
