Apple Watch SE Specs
Based on the leak, the Apple Watch SE would house the S6 processor along with the W4 wireless chip. These are reportedly the better version of the W3 and S5 chips currently running on the Apple Watch Series 5. These components are also expected to be on the highly anticipated Apple Watch Series 6.
While the leak noted that the more affordable Apple Watch SE would not feature the latest wearable design of the company, it would house an impressive set of technical specs. This strategy is pretty familiar and it appears that it is the same move the Cupertino tech giant made when it released the 2020 iPhone SE.
Komiya also noted that the Apple watch SE would replace the Apple Watch 3. The upcoming smart wearable is rumored to retail at $199. It would reportedly ship with a 16 GB of storage, Bluetooth 5.0 and a cellular version option. Additionally, it would come with premium application features and anticipated to come with a single 42mm size offering.
The upcoming Apple Watch SE is anticipated to debut this year. As for its release date, the company might make it available in March 2021. The 2021 Apple SE is also rumored to arrive sometime in March next year. The timing is perfect as it could encourage budget-conscious consumers who prefer to pair the upcoming 2021 iPhone SE with a more affordable Apple Watch SE.
Apple is anticipated to debut the Apple Watch Series 6 this year, which is the better version of the current generation Apple Watch Series 5.
