Brad Pitt is doing everything to please his son, Maddox. This allegedly includes making sure that actress Joey King will be cast in his upcoming movie, Bullet Train.

New Idea published a story this week claiming Pitt cast King in Bullet Train as he tries to reconcile with Maddox. The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor, allegedly, went "through hell and high water" just to have King in the movie because she is a longtime crush of Maddox.

The Ad Astra actor is, also, reportedly, planning to bring Maddox to the next script read-through of the cast members so he can meet the 21-year-old actress. The source, however, warned that Brad's idea could backfire on him and his son.

The insider said meeting King in person could only embarrass Maddox. If this happens, it would further derail Brad's reconciliation efforts with his 19-year-old son.

Gossip Cop debunked the New Idea story. The publication stressed that it is insulting for King to assume that she landed a role in Bullet Train only because Pitt's son has a crush on her.

The outlet, also, reached out to a source close to the situation who reiterated that The Kissing Booth actress was cast in the movie because of her track record in the industry. It was not because Pitt is doing a favor for Maddox.

Gossip Cop added that, if Pitt would like to cast whoever he wanted in his movie, he could have asked Adele since New Idea reported earlier that Brad wanted to date the singer. The outlet stressed that this New Idea story about Pitt was false, just like its previous article about Meghan Markle pestering the actor for a movie role.

Meanwhile, Joey King expressed her excitement about working with Brad Pitt. The young actress first gained recognition when she played Ramona Quimby in the comedy film Ramona and Beezus in 2010, opposite Selena Gomez.

She, also, did several notable movies including The Dark Knight Rises, The Conjuring, White House Down, Independence Day: Resurgence, and more. King is, also, a critically-acclaimed actress. She received nominations from both Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe for her role in the true-crime drama series The Act last year.

In her upcoming movie with Pitt, it looked like King would also play the role of a young assassin in the movie. Bullet Train is based on the Japanese book Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka.

It centers on a group of hitmen and assassins with conflicting motives on a train in Tokyo. Brad Pitt will play the role of a hitman, named Ladybug. Bullet Train will be helmed by Hobbs & Shaw director David Leitch and expected to start filming in Los Angeles this fall.
