The alleged son of Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, is making public the content of a letter he sent his royal parents several years ago.
Simon Dorante-Day, a 54-year-old resident of Queensland, Australia, revealed that he wrote the letter in 2012. However, he never received any reply from Prince Charles or Camilla though he has proof of that the letter reached the Prince of Wales' private secretary.
Speaking with 7 News Australia, Dorante-Day shared how he introduced himself to the royal couple in his correspondence. He told Prince Charles and Camilla that he has been looking into his birth parents' origin for 15 years and came up with the conclusion that he is the son of the royal pair.
The man believes that he was conceived in mid-1965, the same year Charles and Camilla started their romance. The following year, Dorante-Day was born and adopted by a family in Portsmouth, England, who had connections with Queen Elizabeth.
He has recollections of visiting houses as a kid, where he remembers a woman resembling the Duchess of Cornwall. He believes that he was under her care for eight months before he was given up for adoption.
His grandmother apparently worked for the monarch and repeatedly told Dorante-Day about his real parents. He did his own "historical research" and collected events and statements tied to his birth. He told his alleged parents via the letter that he also used "government resources" to track his family and he apparently always ended up with clues leading to Prince Charles and Camilla.
It's not the first time Dorante-Day made his claims public. In 2019, the tabloids picked up his story, where he also said that Princess Diana knew he existed. The man believes that the Princess of Wales was going to reveal this family secret but she passed away.
Dorante-Day, whose said middle name is Charles, shared that his friends often tell him he has similar bone structures as Queen Elizabeth or that he looks like Prince William. His hair, on the other hand, is pretty much just like Camilla's.
The man said that he has been pushing to be recognized because of his nine children, and not for the money or title. Apparently, his kids have become the target of ridicule that he decided to enlist the help of a legal firm to help strengthen his claim.
Prince Charles has two biological children -- the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex, William and Harry. Camilla, on the other hand, has Tom, 45, and Laura, 42, from her first marriage to Andrew Parker-Bowles.
