Jungkook was just a young teenage boy when he became a trainee for Big Hit Entertainment. For almost a decade, he had spent more time with RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, and V than his own family.
That said, Jungkook is used to having the boys around during work and leisure. So when the 22-year-old singer and songwriter had to do his solo scenes for their “Dynamite” music video, he wasn’t feeling like his regular self.
“You know how the cameras were static, and I had to do the scene alone. It was really tough… I was the first one there and the last one out,” Jungkook said during the group’s recent Vlive when they reacted to their video.
Suga noted that Jungkook “doesn’t do his best work when he’s alone.” The Golden Maknae agreed and said that he freezes up when he’s put in the spotlight. Jimin then kept asking him if he misses them. Even though JK didn’t answer JM’s question, it was pretty clear that he would have liked it more if the members were there with him.
Despite Jungkook’s struggles in his solo scenes, Mr. Sunshine J-Hope assured him that he did well. “But you look great here,” he said.
Jungkook openly admitted that shooting alone was a challenge for him, but filming with his members was a different story. Bangtan TV recently uploaded “Dynamite” MV Shooting Sketch on YouTube, and JK clearly had a lot of fun when he was with RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, and V.
It’s no secret that Jungkook loves his members very much. ARMYs have witnessed multiple times that the Golden Maknae would cry every time one of the other members cries. He previously said that it’s hard for him to see his hyungs sad.
But RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, and V are not the only people that can easily make Jungkook emotional. Even though he is, most of the time, tough, he always gets weak when it comes to ARMYs.
Footage from the BTS 2020 Winter Package showed Jungkook reading his letter to ARMYs, and he quickly became emotional. He tried to tough it out and even smiled at his members while they were teasing him when they noticed how red his ears were. RM then said, “His letter was the most sincere” – and that’s all it took for him to finally burst into tears.
