Apple is preparing to hold an event in the second half of October, according to a new report. The said event happening next month would reportedly launch new Apple products. This includes the iPhone 12 series, the new Apple Watch Series 6 and the long-rumored AirTags.

Supply chain outlet Macotakara, known for its leaked iPhone 12 images over the past months, recently suggested that Apple would finally launch the much-awaited Tile-like product called AirTags. The event, reportedly happening in the second week of October 2020, is also the venue for the launch of this year's flagship iPhone 12 lineup and the new Apple Watch generation, according to the report. Macotaka cited Chinese suppliers as the source of information.

Apple usually unveils the latest iPhone series during the first or second week of September. However, it is not clear if the company will have the event this year with the usual timeframe. Apple could delay the debut of the iPhone 12 until October or simply wait until October for the official unveiling.

In July, Apple confirmed that the iPhone 12 series' launch would be a little bit late. The company said that it would launch a few weeks later than the usual September launch window. Following this confirmation, speculations surfaced that the iPhone 12 series could see a staggered release with some models releasing in 2020 and others in 2021.

Apple insider Jon Prosser earlier claimed that Apple is planning to debut the Apple Watch and several new iPad models through a press release in the week starting September 7. If the leak is accurate, it would be the first time that Apple would launch the Apple Watch ahead of the flagship iPhone series.

Prosser's information contradicts Macotakara's latest report, but at this point, both information are still unconfirmed. Meanwhile, the Japanese blog also claimed that Apple Airtags would work with the App Clips feature, which allows users to download small snippets of an app without downloading the whole thing. Over the past months, codes for the upcoming Bluetooth tracking device have been uncovered in multiple iOS updates.

These discoveries could imply that Apple is already knee-deep, developing AirTags. The Bluetooth tracking device is anticipated to launch in the early part of 2020 but was delayed because of circumstances beyond the Cupertino company's control. As for the Apple watch, a recent appearance in the EEC database may have hinted that the release of the next-generation Apple smart wearable is happening very soon.
