Melania Trump has remained at the center of many controversies. The spotlight has seemingly followed her since she became the First Lady of the United States.

But, amid all the talks about her, she rarely addresses them. She does not, also, share too much about herself. This is why many have deemed her as the most "enigmatic" and "mysterious" First Lady in American history.

Before entering the White House, the public learned that she is a polyglot. She revealed that she can speak English, Italian, French, and German, alongside her native language, Slovenian, according to The Sun.

Following the revelations, several individuals questioned the authenticity of her claims. Speculations have since emerged that she might not be fluent in these languages.

Over the years, Melania Trump has seemingly maintained her claims about her fluency in five languages. However, a recent biography suggests that she might not be a true polyglot.

Mary Jordan released her biography of the incumbent First Lady titled The Art of Her Deal in June. One of the shocking claims she made in the book is about Donald Trump's wife's ability to speak several languages.

She said that she could not confirm the extent of Melania's ability, according to Mercury News. Jordan added that she asked for the White House's comments about the matter but, ended up with no response.

The same publication recalled that Melania Trump was born in Slovenia. This explains why her native language is Slovenian.

She moved to Milan in her 20s to pursue her career as a model. In 1996, she relocated to the United States to further expand her network in her field.

The talks about her fluency in several languages, reportedly, began in the early 2000s, during which time she was still dating the real estate mogul, Donald Trump. She posed for a cover for British GQ, which boasted in its contents that Melania Knavs is "fluent in four languages."

Mary Jordan made an effort to confirm Melania Trump's claims about being a polyglot. She revealed in her material that she spoke to several individuals who worked with the First Lady during her modeling years.

Based on the information she gathered, not one agreed that Melania speaks fluently in the languages that she previously mentioned. Modeling agent Wolfgang Schwarz shared with the journalist that Melania Trump "knew so little German."

Numerous photographers who, also, worked with Knavs, reportedly, echoed the same responses as Schwarz stated. Jordan noted that these professionals are native speakers of German, French, and Italian. They told her that they never heard Donald Trump's wife speaking "more than a few words" in these languages.
