WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the premiere of Power Book II: Ghost. Read at your own risk.

Power Book II: Ghost picked up the events that happened in the flagship show, Power. Most of the characters from that series are part of the spin-off, along with new faces. Yet, other notable names weren't seen as of yet, including Tommy Egan, played by Joseph Sikora.

Tommy is Ghost's (Omari Hardwick) best friend and business partner. However, some circumstances tainted their relationship. He decided to leave New York in the Power series finale. But, during the premiere of Power Book II: Ghost, it was hinted that Sikora's character may come back at some point.

In the episode, Tasha (Naturi Naughton) claimed her innocence during the trial for her husband's murder. The actual killer was their son, Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.), but she pinned the murder down on Tommy. It won't be hard to accuse him and claimed he shot Ghost since he was at the scene at the time.

In a recent interview with TVLine, series creator Courtney Kemp said this move wasn't premeditated. Tasha is aware that Tariq wants her to say his own name, but she couldn't do it. She can't bring herself to do it and turn her son in, so she said Tommy's name instead.

Originally, Tariq and Tasha planned to blame the murder on Ghost's dead nemesis, Dre (Rotimi). However, Saxe (Shane Johnson) ruled him out as the prime suspect in the early run of the episode. This is one of the reasons why Tasha was forced to say Tommy's name.

Kemp hinted that Tommy could appear in Power Book II: Ghost at some point because of this. Although she didn't clearly mention Sikora's character, there is a huge possibility he'll show up. After all, she already teased that some familiar faces will appear in the spin-off.

Tommy is still part of this universe and the character is set to have his own spin-off titled Power Book IV: Force. The story centers on Sikora's character trying to live a new life outside of New York. It's interesting to see what was stored for this arc, as well as the changes in his life.

But, it remains uncertain as to when it could arrive since there is another spin-off set to air before this one. The third installment is Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which follows the early days of Kanan Stark (50 Cent). Reportedly, the series is set to premiere in 2021.

Power Book II: Ghost is airing every Sunday night on Starz.
