Michelle and Barack Obama have continued to become some of the most influential personalities in the world today. Even after their time inside the White House, many people still look up to the former First Couple.

Aside from their impressive advocacies, several individuals also applaud them for their genuine relationship as a married couple. While the former United States President seldomly opened up about his feelings toward his wife, he made a "heartfelt" confession about the Becoming author to Prince Harry, according to Daily Express.

In late 2017, the American politician and the Duke of Sussex sat down for an interview with BBC Radio 4's Today. The publication said that the royal-born Prince "guest-edited" the segment and invited Barack Obama.

He asked his guest about his thoughts during Donald Trump's inauguration earlier that year. The former U.S. President revealed that the "first thing" that went through his mind was Michelle Obama, who was sitting across him.

Obama explained that he realized how "thankful" he was that he has the former First Lady as his "partner." He then described his wife as "spectacular," adding that she is "funny" and "warm."

Barack Obama continued and told Prince Harry that Michelle Obama is not "naturally inclined to politics." Accordingly, he thought that his wife "did it" largely in support of him and his decision to run as the United States President.

He added there is the "sense" of "completion" when they were able to come out of the White House "intact." Obama, also, pointed out that their marriage has remained "strong," and that their daughters have turned into "amazing young women."

In the end, he said that it was all "satisfying," in addition to all the work they did, including even the work that has remained "undone."

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama spent their last day inside the White House on January 20, 2017. Before they left, they welcomed Donald Trump as his successor. The 44th United States President, also, boarded the Air Force One "one last time" later that day, according to BBC.

Despite leaving Washington, the former First Couple has continued their efforts for their advocacies. Reports, later on, added that they continued doing speeches on high-profile events.

In May 2018, Netflix revealed that the Obamas entered into a "multi-year" agreement to produce several materials for the platform. These include scripted and unscripted series, documentaries, and features.
