Michelle Obama has always emphasized the importance of self-care, especially in women and children. In her time as the First Lady of the United States, one of her "primary" initiatives was the Let's Move! campaign.

Reports said that the move aimed to "reduce childhood obesity" and "encourage" a healthy lifestyle. The main goal was to decrease the rate of childhood obesity by 5 percent come 2030.

As the person who launched the campaign, the former First Lady herself has continued to become an inspiration to many individuals when it comes to fitness and health. Even after their time inside the White House, she seemingly continues to help others in this aspect.

Now and then, Michelle Obama posts fitness and health "stories" on her social media accounts. Some of her earlier posts even include her "go-to" workout playlist.

The former First Lady said that these "tunes" help her "stay motivated," according to Eating Well. She shared 37 tracks, 27 of which are energetic and upbeat songs. As for the remaining titles, she noted them as her go-to tracks specifically for cooldown.

Some of the artists included in the playlist are Destiny's Child, Lizzo, Childish Gambino, Calvin Harris, Cardi B, and Kanye West. There are also tracks from Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, and Ed Sheeran.

Michelle Obama, also, usually posts some of her workout routines on social media. Some photos show her doing a plank or a lunge with a "large medicine ball."

While the former First Lady has not seemingly shared the details of her exact daily workoutSHAPE got an exclusive interview with her and Barack Obama's personal trainer. Cornell McClellan, who is, also, a fitness consultant to the former First Family, shared that they all believe in "working out together." He said that, as much as possible, they do it outdoors when they can find the time.

McLellan continued that Michelle Obama and the rest of the family begins the routine with a "brisk walk-jog" or an "easy jog." He noted that they start at a slow pace to stretch and "warm up their muscles."

Following the quick stretch, they, reportedly, go for jumping jacks, arm circles, deep knee-bends, push-ups, and split-leg squats.

Obama previously told Gayle King that many women typically put their own health behind everything else. Because of this, she wanted and hoped to change this kind of mindset, according to Cheat Sheet. She, later on, stated that she wanted "caregivers" to see self-care as more of a "necessity" rather than indulgence.
