Multiple "Apple One" domain names registered by Apple ahead of its September 15 event indicates that the company intends to use them on marketing bundles.

A few days before the September 15 event of Apple, the Cupertino-based company moved to register multiple "Apple One" domain names. Industry observers see this as Apple's marketing strategy for its upcoming subscription bundles, which many believe will be called "Apple One."

Apple fans also see that the company's latest move denotes that the "Apple One" domain name is not likely to be only a placeholder, rather a marketing name for the bundles. While Apple may not use many of the domain names it registered, it is typical for most companies to secure several variations of a domain name to make sure that others would not grab at the opportunity of registering it themselves and perhaps offer it at a higher price or use it and take advantage of its popularity.

Among the "Apple One" domain names that Apple registered recently are appleone.chat, appleone.club, and appleone.community, which indicates the company does not want anyone to set up discussion or community forums that innocent users might think as an official Apple forum. Other "Apple One" domain names registered by Apple include appleone.cloud, appleone.audio, appleone.blog, appleone.film, appleone.guide, appleone.host, appleone.space, appleone.tech, and appleone.website.

While full contact details on the "Apple One" domain name registrations are not shown for privacy reasons, the fact that a substantial batch of domains all pointing to nameservers at Apple indicates the Cupertino tech giant is responsible for the registrations. Apple has yet to comment on the recent multiple domain name registrations.

So Far, Apple is largely successful in registering many other less common versions of "Apple One" domain names, although the company does not have control over several popular ones like appleone.net and appleone.com. Both of these domains were already owned by other entities for more than a decade. Apple did not say if the company has any plans to acquire these domains.

According to observers, Apple might find it difficult to acquire appleone.com and add it to its list of recently-bought "Apple One" domain names. Appleone.com reportedly is the home of a huge employment agency, while appleone.net is shown as parked and available for sale.

The Apple One bundles, which may appear anytime soon, either at Apple's September 15 event or along with the release of new iPhone models next month, involve several types of existing services offered by Apple at a small discount. A basic Apple One package reportedly includes Apple TV+ and Apple Music, while the next package also has the Apple Arcade. The third bundle features all three services and Apple News+. Apple fans say the company might use for the bundles any of the "Apple One" domain names it recently registered.

Apple also revealed they plan to have a higher-end bundle consisting of Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Apple News+, Apple TV+, and iCloud storage. Many observed that some of the services included in the bundle complement well with some of the "Apple One" domain names registered by Apple, such as appleone.cloud and appleone.audio. The Cupertino tech giant also said it plans to offer a new fitness-oriented service which will offer customers a virtual fitness class.

Aside from the "Apple One" domain names that Apple registered, 9to5Mac also discovered additional bundle references like "Keep Apple One" and "Cancel Apple One" in iOS 14's Manage Subscriptions screen localization files. This may indicate yet another tier of bundled services that Apple plans to offer soon.
