SM Entertainment confirmed that NCT will release a comeback album in mid-October.

According to All Kpop, the label confirmed that NCT is currently preparing for an album. However, the source refused to make an official statement until the schedule is finalized.

Based on reports, NCT's new album will be entitled NCT 2020. It will be released sometime in mid-October.

This comes as big news because this will be NCT's first major comeback as an entire group since 2018. It can be recalled that their last album was NCT 2018, which carried tracks performed by NCT subunits NCT 127, NCT Dream, and NCT U. A total of 18 members participated in the previous album.

Following the NCT group album, members concentrated on subunit promotions for NCT 127, NCT Dream, and NCT U. NCT Dream released Candle Light in 2018 and followed it up with Fireflies and Don't Need Your Love, and We Boom in 2019. Their last album was Reload, released last April.

Meanwhile, NCT U participated in STATION X 4 LOVEs for Winter Part.2 last December.

NCT 127 also released several albums since NCT 2018. They dropped the Up Next Session: NCT 127, and NCT #127 Regulate albums in 2018, We Are Superhuman and Highway to Heaven in 2019, and most recently NEO ZONE in 2020.

NCTzens are even more excited now because of the possibility of the WayV members joining the comeback.

After learning the news, NCTzens, NCT's official fandom were quick to jump in and share their opinions on what challenges new fans will encounter with fangirling, Koreaboo reported.

According to veteran fans of NCT, newbies should be aware of the very low probability of getting their bias's postcard when they purchase the album. With the addition of WayV to the mix, there will be 21 photocards in circulation.

For student fans, veterans advised them to give up the double life of fangirling since it normally does not work out too well.

Old-time fans also advised newbies to prepare their ears for a lot of screaming once 21 members take the stage as a group.

Even with the complexities of the NCT set up because of the subunit system, new fans need not worry because NCT will deliver on fans' expectations when it comes to singing, dancing, and stage presence.

However, new fans need to be prepared for the chaotic energy that the NCT members bring when they get together. Aside from quality and entertaining content, the rapport among the members provide lots of laughter and touching moments to be cherished NCTZens even years down the road.

NCT 2020 is expected to drop after Taeyong, Mark, Lucas, and TEN complete promotions for SuperM's first full album Super One.
