There is little doubt that Raised by Wolves is one of the most compelling TV shows that has been released this year. Created by Aaron Guzikowski, the first two episodes of the sci-fi drama was directed by executive producer Ridley Scott and immediately set the tone for the succeeding episodes.
Unfortunately, the first season of the post-apocalyptic series will be coming to an end in the next two weeks. However, the good news is, the Travis Fimmel drama has just been renewed for Season 2.
The renewal was confirmed by the official Raised By Wolves Twitter account with a brief teaser. Although the short video features footage from the first season, it concludes with an announcement that Season 2 has been given the green light. Not surprisingly, fans were delighted with the update.
The first season of Raised By Wolves has already enchanted audiences with its compelling storyline and talented cast. The series follows Father and Mother, two androids that have escaped Earth and settled down on the planet Kepler-22b to raise human children. However, the androids later discover that the religious human cult known as the Mithraic are also trying to survive on the same planet.
So far, the first season of the sci-fi series has already shown a lot of violence as Mother attacked the Mithraic vessel and took their surviving children Tempest, Paul, Hunter, Holly, and Vita to the androids' colony so they could be raised alongside their own "child" Campion. This doesn't sit well with the remaining Mithraic that is now led by Travis Fimmel's Marcus, who wants to get his son Paul back. However, this isn't the only major problem that Father and Mother have to deal with in Raised By Wolves.
The sci-fi series stars former Vikings actor Travis Fimmel as Marcus, the new leader of the Mithraic. It also stars Amanda Collins as Mother, Abubakar Salim as Father, Winta McGrath as Campion, Niamh Algar as Sue, Jordan Loughran as Tempest, Felix Jamieson as Paul, Ethan Hazzard as Hunter, and Aasiya Shah as Holly.
The first season of Raised By Wolves will consist of 10 episodes. The first three episodes, two of which were directed by Ridley Scott, premiered on September 3. Since then, only two episodes were released weekly on HBO Max. The most recent episodes were titled 'Lost Paradise' and 'Faces' and are now available for streaming on the service.
