Several members of the British Royal Family have focused some of their campaigns and initiatives toward the environment. The most recent one is Prince William, who will continue to "shine" on the several issues and threats that the world is facing through a new documentary.

The future King of the United Kingdom has urged everyone to tackle the issues, particularly the "growing" environmental problems of the Earth, according to the Daily Express. The documentary titled, Prince William: A Planet For Us All, will premiere on October 5.

Reports said that the material charts his "journey" from being a "passionate conservationist" to a person wanting to take a much important role for the environment.

Speaking to the documentary, Prince William revealed that he and his wife, Kate Middleton, saw the effects and impacts of climate change, "first hand." He referenced the melting glaciers at a much rapid speed at one of their trips.

The Duke of Cambridge added that it is a huge "environmental" and "humanitarian disaster." Despite being aware of it, the rest of the world has not seemingly picked up the pace to respond.

He, however, emphasized how the younger generations, including the likes of climate change activist Greta Thunberg, are "getting" the real issue. He, then, highlighted how the young people have continued to push for "change" and "action" toward the matter, according to the Daily Mail.

Later on in the documentary, Prince William makes a "touching tribute" to Prince Charles and Prince Philip. He recalled how his father and grandfather have remained active in environmental work for years. The publications, then, concluded that the Duke of Cambridge is likely following the footsteps of his predecessors.

Planet Earth
narrator Sir David Attenborough will, also, make an appearance on the upcoming documentary, according to The Times. Prince William tells him that every generation after the personality has grown up listening to him through his materials. He, later on, said that he hopes for more generations to listen "a little bit more."

Ahead of the screening of Prince William: A Planet For Us All, the Cambridge household met with Attenborough inside Kensington Palace. Alongside the Duke and Duchess, their three young children joined them as they engaged with the famous environmentalist.

Following the meeting, the Cambridges posted a few snaps on their social media account, featuring some of the moments they shared with Sir David Attenborough.
