It looks like Apple wouldlike the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max to stand out from its other siblings by equipping it with an exclusive technology, according to a new report.

In a recent report from Wccftech, it speculated that the largest iPhone 12 model would ship with exclusive features to make it more appealing to consumers given its price. This could be possible by incorporating the iPhone 12 Pro Max with the 120 Hz display refresh rate on OLED panel and LiDar camera, the site said. The said model is anticipated to add hype to the launch of this year's flagship iPhone.

Rumors have it that Apple intends to ship around 80 million units of the iPhone 12 series for this year alone. YouTuber EverythingApplePro and industry insider Maw Weinbach recently worked together to uncover another possible iPhone 12 Pro Max hardware. Accoridng to the insiders, the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 model might be the only one that would feature mmWave 5G support.

With the iPhone 12 Pro Max shipping with this suport, it could offer unprecedented download and upload speeds, assuming that the device is within the mmWave node's range. This claim seemingly aligns with the report from Fast Company. Earlier, the site claimed that the mmWave technology would only be limited to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max, according to the site's source, is the only model in the series with the ample space to accommodate the antenna design required for mmWave support. Additionally, it is the only model with space for the larger battery needed by the battery draining mmWave 5G support. The site also believed that the iPhone 12 Pro Max with mmWave 5G support will only be available in regions with well-established 5G networks.

The site mentioned the U.S., Japan, and Korea as the three countries where consumers could avail of the iPhone 12 Pro Max with mmWave 5G support. Meanwhile, Wccftech speculated that the larger battery of the iPhone 12 Pro Max would be useful for the 120 Hz display refresh rate of the device. Aside from the 5G support, higher refresh rate is also a major battery draining feature.

The site also believed that the 120 Hz display refresh rate of the iPhone 12 Pro Max would be a more preferred upgrade to lure consumers to spend more. The three cameras and inclusion of the LiDar camera are expected to open possibilities better bokeh blurs for portraits, enahanced augmented reality experience and accurate depth perceptions.
