People already know and love Millie Bobby Brown for playing the socially awkward yet amazingly powerful Eleven in Stranger Things. However, it looks like the Enola Holmes actress originally had her eye on a completely different role in an equally popular series.

Brown has just confirmed that she tried out for an important role in Game of Thrones but was rejected by HBO. In addition to that, Brown admitted she almost decided to quit acting because she was dishearted by the failed audition.

It's no secret that Millie Bobby Brown is one of the most talented young actors of her generation. However, like most actors, she also had to go through several auditions before she would land the role that would change her life. Interestingly, Brown initially thought that that particular role would be the one she tried out for in Game of Thrones.

While being a virtual guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Millie Bobby Brown revealed that she had gone to several auditions when she was just starting out and being rejected multiple times was very frustrating for her.

"I think I was just very disheartened by the rejection, which is something I tell everyone. This industry is just full of rejection 24/7. You get 'No's, a lot of 'No's, before you get a 'Yes.' And I was auditioning for commercials, for anything really," Brown said.

Interestingly, Millie Bobby Brown continued by sharing that she tried out for the HBO series and that being rejected by a huge show had a devastating effect on her.

"I then auditioned for Game of Thrones and I got a 'No' for that. Then, that's when I was like, 'This is really difficult,' and I guess I really wanted that role," Brown said. "So one of my last sort of goes at all this was a Netflix show called Montauk."

Luckily, Millie Bobby Brown finally got a 'Yes' during her audition for Montauk, which would later get renamed into Stranger Things. Her role as Eleven would make her a breakthrough star who would go on to work on big projects like Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

So, which role in Game of Thrones was Millie Bobby Brown trying out for? The Stranger Things Season 4 actress actually auditioned to play Lyanna Mormont but the part would be given to Bella Ramsey.

Millie Bobby Brown is currently working on Stranger Things Season 4. In the meantime, fans can watch her in action in Enola Holmes, which is now streaming on Netflix.
